More like, 3 rifles PER CHAMBERING laugh . That way, you have duplicates and a spare, just in case something goes wrong on your long and far away hunting trip.

I usually took two or three rifles per chambering on PD shooting trips, 2-.223s, 2-.204s, two .17HMRs, etc. etc. etc.....
Frankly, you kinda need that, letting some cool down, and shooting others.

I sometimes take three deer rifles on my trips, too, a couple .270s and "something else(whatever strikes me at the moment). I've been lucky enough to have multiple rifles that shoot the same loads very well, so I can use the same ammo in both rifles, simplifing things a bit.

I simply cannot fathom a looney limiting himself to three rifles.
