I've shot more than a few rounds out of MkV rifles without issue, being an owner of two for over thirty years and having access to my father's which I shot a bunch in times past. No problems.
I've also shot many thousands of rounds from 700's over an even longer time span. Within arms reach are the record books of three of them whose summed round counts come to about ten thousand. Not a hitch yet. There are more but they aren't handy.
I see this as comparable to a Ford/Chevy/Dodge type of thing.
