Sorry for the delay... we headed in at 10 am the next morning
Started at the bed down spot found a bit more blood and the direction the deer headed. Blood trail was gone but we slowly pushed forward
Tall grass and cattail and thick pine area.
10 minutes in as I was looking in the tall grass 50 yds from my cousin he summons me over and said "Buck 5 yds get over here"
I get there to find the buck on the edge of the pines and still alive.
I circle and put a shot thru the lungs and finish him.

I hit him with 3 of the 4 shots fired the afternoon before.
I had a bit more drop than anticipated. 2 shots 2" apart lower right shoulder -upper leg, clipped 1 lung.
3rd shot busted back upper right rear leg, that was the shot I took as the buck was exiting the field and facing straight away and caused the tail flicker
The deer went over 100 yds from where we jumped him the night before,
I don't even know how it was possible for him to do so with both front and rear leg obliterated on the same side but he some how did just that. I'm not one for flinging lead but I knew I had hit him with the 1st or 2nd shot(maybe both) at that point I'll keep shooting if a shot is still presented until the deer drops or is out of sight or range.
