How does the 221 Fireball with 40 gr bullets compare (velocity wise) to a 22 K-Hornet with the same bullets?
Assuming same barrel lengths, max loads, optimal powder selection, and any other assumptions necessary for a fair comparison.
The fireball is a greatly improved hornet: Faster, more accurate, better brass, and only burns a few more grains of powder to get there.
I've found RL7 to be a great powder, but I'm sure there are few others that will work just as well.
