KY. Think 12-15 fps per inch wink

Had rifles in 22, 23, 24, and 26" -

If/when I do another it will be 19-21 and a #3 Bart in 8t is PERFECT. Fluting for looks would be fine in this bore.

HAD STRAIGHT taper BR profile at 22. Heavy as hell. Bugholes. Others were varmint profiles except one that was .750 at 23. For pure paper or varmints like PDs heavy works. For a carry rifle for deer etc shorty and handier is much better - IMHO.

My 7BR in a M7 fed like glass. Old style stamped follower. It uses heavier bullets and lays down more keeping it level in mag for good feeding.
It was a 3G P-N 21" .700 muzzle. Perfect for that gun. I'd want anything from .650 min to .700 max OD again at 19-21. If 19 I would do tad heavier. Longer a tad smaller OD. .675 at 20 might be my sweet spot. Small capacity burns quick.

Edit. KY - for your purposes I might consider 24" in Varmint taper since you want max hold ability on small LR targets. My Stiller build was just that in Bart 8t. Probably my most accurate build. 66/68 Custom Cook bullets and 105 Amax both shot 3-shot 200 yd groups of 1/4" using a Vx-3 4-14x40 LR/T. Had a Jewell. I think it will serve you well. Less report and no issues at all self spotting all shots. Enjoy.
