Very interesting! The Alliant site lists a max of 48.7 gr of RL 17 with the 180 gr Speer.

If your rifle can go as much 51 gr with a 208 grainer with no signs of pressure, then more power to ya!

From a 20.5" barrel, 2645 fps is extremely good for a 308 using a 208 gr bullet. Other than the RL 17, I don`t think you`ll do that well using any other powder.
