Hi, Dad bought a .303 Savage Savage Model 99 with 6 or 8 boxes of Soft point ammo in plain boxes in 1941. Bought direct from Savage, I believe. How would I determine the value of this rifle? It has not had 100 rounds through it, has not been modified or tapped and has a light scratch on the reciever.
Could anyone provide the ballistics (trajectory data) for common bullet weights of the .303 Savage?
Would someone care to guess the bullet weight of the factory Soft Point ammo? It is stamped .303 Sav S A Corp.
