IME, the neck junctures are the same, see njs1230's photos.

I use a neck up in deference to a fireform with 35 cases; using basic brass requires only a trip through an FL die properly adjusted, as it is already the proper dimension full length. Many dies will not allow a shoulder to be set back too far by design.

Some chambers will require that the basic brass (Qual-cart) to be turned.
