How many barrels have you gotten rid of on your bench guns because of bugs? If you have shot as much as you say, I'm sure more than a few. The Jap action is a strong one no doubt, but it is normally not a first choice for a rifle build and since you do not know how the work was done, could be fighting a losing battle.
