Let her pick the rifle & you pick the caliber, of course. 7-08 would be hard to beat for a all around deer gun. Remington Model 7 or Maybe a Tikka Hunter.
The Tikka will out shoot about anything out of the box, when it comes to accuracy

My personal choice would be a Winchester Featherweight in 7x57 with a Compact Leupold VX-III 2.5 x 8 cool
