Hey Boxer. I do have a legitimate question to ask you and others.No bait.
I am looking for a sporter rifle in 6.5-284. I do not have any experience building a rifle using a wildcat ( so I picked the 6.5x284) and do not want to wait for a custom build. I have seen a Cooper in it, but it has the short action. I would like one with a longer action. Savage has some good ones with the long action. They are not very much money. I do not want to go with their "long range" series, and their little sporter only has a 20" barrel. Kind of wasting the potential of the 6.5x284 I think.
I am looking for a wood stock, long action, 24" or 26" barrel and stay under $1500.00. Is their such a rifle?
Just looking to keep it simple. Standard chambers, throats etc.
