6.5x55 by Mike McCabe, I donated an early 1920's Mauser action, 23.5" Lothar Walther barrel, he's duplicating the Schnabel-tipped stock from a Watt's Walnut blank, Dakota Arms M-98 Model 70-style shroud/safety, Leupold 6x42 FX-3 scope, McFarland steel buttplate, Dakota Arms #2 "Ken Howell" swivel studs, Dressel small grip cap, Talley rings/bases. Buttplate, grip cap, bolt shroud, and Talley rings returned to me after fitting to be engraved then color case hardened by Doug Turnbull.

Started this in 2012, I'm just going to be glad to see it finished this year.


Mike is going to be busy this year. He is finishing up my .404Jeffery that was started by another GS back in 2008. Then he is going to do a .350 Rigby Magnum on a 1909, Lothar Walther Bavarian countour.
