The old Mitchell spinning reels were excellent. I too have one thats about 30 years old & still performs well. I primarily fish for LM Bass & cats & just purchased 2 BassPro UL spinning reels on sale for under $30.00 each. On Ugly Sticks these are all the wife & I need for crappie & White Perch.
