For the love of grammatical pet peeves can we start referring to the noun "prophecy" rather than the verb "prophesy"? And biblical prophecy is a very, very different genre of scriptural literature than a prophecy which predicts the future based on a series of sequential events. Biblical prophets spoke the word of God to the people which sought to turn the people back to God - repentance.
