I am trying to sort out in my mind how they get mounted "un-square"???

I use weaver muffler clamps, sometimes one piece bases some times two piece. I can't see how I could mount the scope "unsquare"

What kind of tolerances are involved in an "unsquare" set up?

I have never heard of any of my friends screwing one up.

Just trying to figure it out...

I hate to admit it. But quite honestly I think I am a 6x42-lEUPOLD convert. This ain't the first time I have heard folks praise them to the skies. I bought one a couple of years ago. I might sell some stuff and get 4 at once and just get all the upgrades at once and be done with it.

From an engineering perspective what is it about the internals of the 6x42's that makes them rugged-er thaN the other leupolds? Other than the simplicity of the fixed power?
