against Saddam, the ground targets hit by A 10s was all out of proportion to their numbers....

with the Middle East having no end in sight.... the Government needs to get Fairchild ( or whatever company they morphed into )
to start manufacturing New A 10s.. with all the technology upgrades...

I also think they need to start making new A 6 Intruders and F 14 Tomcats again also....

and when people talk about the old B 52, how many of you realize, of the over 4,000 made, the Air Force only has about 100 of those still in service?


There are parts and pieces in the existing inventory that are good for the ages,...a Titanium "Tub" would be one good example,...the Rotary Guns, another,.....
