http://chamberscustom.com) about a year ago about custom 1911's and mentioned that I just couldn't bring myself to like cast parts on serious guns (actually it was during an anti-Ruger rant
). He mentioned that over his career, he's seen a lot of cracked Colt 1911 frames, but NEVER has he seen a cracked cast 1911 frame of any manufacturers. I hate it when people point out how subjectively ignorant I am.
