My pleasure. It was a pretty fun opener. My little guy is too young to hunt yet, so I got to live/parent vicariously.
That is my son's future "first" rifle she was using. She went to the range and practiced this fall, then made a perfect shot when it mattered.
I think my buddy and I both almost teared up with joy when she insisted on field dressing it and then skinning and quartering it when we got it back. More so when, on the drive home Monday through the snowstorm, she was asking her dad multiple questions about what rifle she will get as her own, what kind of jacket and knife she needs etc...
