Haven't taken game with a 45 bore but so long as you avoid the soft 45-70 black powder velocity pills, pick something in the range of 350-500 grs, put it where it counts, and game over.
I will say 350's @ 2400-2500 fps recoil on par with a 375 H&H and are worth considering as they are certainly ample medicine for AK game.
