I have a tang safety Ruger RS that I'm fond of. Barrel is cut to 20" and it's bedded into a HighTech stock. Parkerized metal with a Leupold 1.5-5 perched on top. 350gr TSX at 2450 and 350gr Speer MagTips at 2500 are all I shoot out of it. 500s kick too much and don't offer the trajectory that I like. I shot a bear with a 510 soft point Winchester factory load and a deer on kodiak with a handloaded 350 Hornady, both died and right now. The Hornady shed it's jacket on the entry side between the skin and the ribs, I shot up all that I had left and don't use them anymore.

It's a killer and the lighter bullets make it more shootable and much more versatile IMO. Unless I was guiding bear hunters I don't think I would by one now, probably stick with a 375, but I got a great deal on mine and have used and enjoyed it.
