And since I just posted this photo on the other 458 thread I will post it here as well

I fired a 404 Jeffery with a 400 gr Swift A-frame @ 2200 fps into a stack of alternating wet/dry magazines and it penetrated 18 ". I then shot a factory 500 Hornady from my short 458 next to it and as you can see from the photo, this is where the 404 Swift stopped and the 500 gr Hornady continued on for another 6 inches !
