Was offered this Pre War R in 250-3000 a few weeks ago and decided to accept the offer. What really intrigued me on the Savage was the condition and most of all the T7 side mount with the Weaver J 2.5
Was the side mount offered by Savage back in the day? I've seen a couple of vintage Savage ads for their scopes on 99's with what looked like this mount installed, just not real sure.What other scopes were offered in this time period?Anyway this older Savage 99 was begging me to put it back in the woods again this fall which I shall do.
