The catalogs around 1937 to 1940 offered the 99's with A T7 mount and 29S or 330 scope with no charge for mounting the scope and mount. Unfortunately I've never heard of one of them lettering. I have a 1940 vintage 99T with a T7 and a 330 scope. It didn't letter with the scope. We have to assume that the late 30's/early 40's 99's with this setup that some were factory and some weren't. At one time I had a 1942 vintage EG with this setup. It also didn't letter with the scope. It seems like the entries that JTC based his letters on during this time only showed the ship date without any other info.
