Sometimes, as with eBay, you've got to take a leap of faith. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. On the other hand, as several other folks have stated, you've already got better optics. If you really want a correct scope for the era I'd buy the cheapest one I could find regardless of it's optics and use it for display only. Heading into the deer woods I'd put the J2.5 back on.
