I really have to take exception with the comparison of optics from the old Weaver models to the J and K series that came later. I have seen a lot more lens separation problems in the post 1947 scopes than I ever have in the 29S, 330 or 440 scopes. Many of the old scopes have crosshair and adjustment problems but if the lenses have not been scratched or chipped they work pretty dam well.
