Democrat Senator Ben Nelson just said in a press conference that there are likely ties to ISIS. Then he goes on to say that this shooting combined with the shooting of The Voice singer a few nights ago are indicators of something wrong with our country.

Completely predictable. Guns and access to them, especially military high capacity, caused this.

You can't legally carry in a bar so this was, once again, a target rich gun free zone. And not all gays are anti gun, ever hear of the Pink Pistols?

I must say that some of the responses on this thread are disgusting. Fifty of our fellow citizens are dead at the hands of a terrorist and all you can say is "well at least they were gay"! Appalling! How do you ever expect them to warm up to a more conservative way of thinking if that is the prevailing attitude towards them?

You don't have to go to Syria, Iraq, or Pakistan to get "radicalized" ... just attend the "right mosque" or frequent the "right web-sites" ... that's all it takes.

Don't know about Florida, but in Texas you can't pack heat in an establishment that derives more than 50% of its revenue from the sale of alcohol. So no carry in bars and clubs.

When will Obama schedule a news conference and tell the world that America and his administration blames Muslim terrorists, and we will now seek out radicals and deport them, as well as not allowing any more inside our borders?
