What's in yours, how do you cook it?

I'm traveling and don't have my info at hand. Let me tell you though, it's hard to top this basic recipe by Paula Deen. Virtually all hushpuppy recipes are similar. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/hushpuppies-recipe.html

one package JIFFY corn muffin mix one egg 1/4 cup milk diced onion and jalapeno pepper to taste Mix above ingredients and let sit for 15 minutes Deep fry in Canola oil, drain on paper towels. Enjoy but be careful you don't bite your tongue!
NOTE: Use only 1/4 cup milk not 1/3 as shown on package.

my daddy always said "you can't have enough onion or black pepper" in good hushpuppies Onions make hushpuppies. We cut them in chunks about dime size and put twice as many as you would think. Very good. And Paula's would be good if you omit the flour and add lots more onions. I'm telling ya, it's the onions.
