I've heard the USPS is much better about paying insurance claims for lost/damaged items than UPS. Not that I'd say the USPS is some kind of wonderful, but that alone is a substantial reason to use USPS. In my case, the post office is the only convenient option. Both the UPS and FEDEX hubs are far from conveniently located for me. And the USPS has improved their tracking whereas it used to be pretty useless.


USPS will also pick up a package at your house too... The others probably do it too, but that makes it that much more convenient..
