A year ago I went to a large LE sales demo put on by a few manufacturers. While there, from a reliability standpoint, the Beretta ARX-100 was impressive to say the least. I talked to a guy I know in LE sales, and he said he's been to a couple of these things where they shoot the living snot out of various weapons and that the ARX was very impressive at both. So I'm starting to learn toward the ARX. It's ugly, but the design is intriguing to say the least. Takedown is slick, and the barrel removal is super-uber-slick. Accomodation for left hand shooters is absolutely without peer...push a button and it ejects out the other side; how cool is that?
And with that quick change barrel system, caliber conversions ought to be a snap…that is, if Beretta ever makes them available. Been talk about a .300 BO for a while, but nothing has materialized. And I’m not understanding why, it should be super easy for Beretta.
