Taking a look at an earth temperature graph for the last 100,000 to a million years or so, will shoot recent global warming down hard.
Around 1000AD, they named it "Greenland" because it was...didn't last...
That's right. Vikings grazed sheep there, because it was covered in green grass. Can't do that today, because the earth's climate is too cold now.
You guys look pretty silly falling for that line.
The "green Greenland" story is a recent invention. When I was young, the common myth was more about politics. The history of it is less dramatic....

The author's point about fiction trumping non-fiction is definitely relevant to the climate discussion.
