My son picked up one of those Compass' in 243. He was looking for a cheap truck/ride on a snowmobile coyote gun and that is what he got. That said, he slapped an older Leupold 3x9 and fed it some Federal Blue Box 100 grainers. It shoots well and I think it will do what he wants. He also wanted a 22-250 or a Creed but all they had was a 243. How well it stands up or last remains to be seen.
