Unfortunately many christians confuse Hell/Hades with the lake of fire and an eternal punishment at judgement time,
yet they are not the same thing.
Revelations 20:14-15
14 "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death."
15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
So, even the wicked humans thrust into the lake will not be tortured & tormented for eternity, rather
scripture indicates they will receive a final 'second death' and as result shall perish,vanish, be no more,
(ie; be total destroyed)...Logic & reason would indicate if one is non-existent due to having been totally
obliterated, there cannot be eternal torment to follow.
The only ones thrust into the fire for eternal torment are these three:
Revelations 20:10
" And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are,
and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."
