To All,

Just ONE of the things that I love about both the Savage 99 & the Remington Model 760 (as well as pump shotguns)is those wide flat sides that just "scream" to be engraved with fancy script or hunting scenes.

Note: When he was 2 days old (in 1983), I bought my nephew a Model 870 in .410=3" & had it fully engraved by a lady in VA. - One side commemorates his birth/parents & the other side is my idea/design & "somewhat whimsical", in that it features a Springer Spaniel puppy, flushing (or perhaps fleeing from??) a whole covey of quail.
(When it was completed & "at the request of the engraving lady" it was displayed at a few gun-shows in MD, PA, VA & WV. = The "nice lady" said to me when I finally got to pick it up for his 2YO Christmas present, that she had had DOZENS of people who wanted to buy it.)

yours, tex
