I fully agree with the reasons stated above, why it will likely never see commercial status. And I'm a fully committed 257Roberts slut. But if I were starting today, I'd probably jump on the 6.5CM bandwagon. 120gr bullets at 2900ish, and 100gr bullets at 3100ish fit my needs perfectly, and the availability of accurate off-the-shelf rifles and ammo is attractive..

But I have the same ballistics with my 257s and I already have rifles, brass, bullets, etc., so no reason to change. I'd not a long range guy, and if I want a bullet heavier than 120grains, I'd prefer a 270, 280. or 30-06.
