For myself, I think the .25 Souper, or something combining the shoulder diameter( .462" ), and neck angle ( 30 degree) of the CM case design , with the .308 case length would suit the .25 caliber in a SA magazine quite nicely. No real need to sacrifice case length with .25 caliber bullets designed to work in the 10" twist.

I've gotta think that the SA .25-284 is the peak of that hill.

There is definitely something to be said about the benefits of starting with Lapua CM parent brass though.


Magazine length can be a handicap for a 25-284 with some bullets longer than the 110 grain AB.
