You're county health dept. (likely state lab) will want to test it to confirm rabies.
When you shoot it, please don't shoot it in the head. That make testing orders of magnitude more difficult.
Wear gloves. Put it in doubled plastic bags. Put gloves in second bag. Call your PD or health dept.
