The 7mm RM if for no other reason than the ammunition availability. Any Walmart has them and that sure isn't the case with the other two. A friend of mine had the 270 WM and threw the front half of his mule deer away from blood shot meat. I've never had that from my 7 mm RM, but have always used heavier 160-175 grain bullets for it for deer and elk. It recoils too much for our close in whitetails, but out west my elk were just as dead as the elk with the .300's and .338's and my rifle weighed two pounds less than theirs did.
