I don't say this to be demeaning in any way, but You need to learn to shoot. If you can not do better than 1.5 inches at 50 yards... a CZ 457 is not going to shoot any better for you.


A bench is OK to work on trigger control and sight alignment,

But after you iron out your trigger control and sight alignment===> get away from the bench and learn to shoot offhand, kneeling, sitting and prone.

After you learn to shoot a group as opposed to a pattern, try different ammunition in your .22 rifle.


I have had several Ruger 10-22's, most with a trigger pull heavier than the weight of the gun and I have not had one that would not do better than 1.5 inches at 50 yards. If one shot that bad there would be something drastically wrong ie. a bad barrel or chamber or?
