Gotta say that the MTR looks good if youre into just benching small groups.... Assuming that the barrel quality is there consistently.

I have 1 model 455 (the short barrel version they started calling a Lux) and its an impressive shooting sporter.
I don't know if I got lucky or not but I have read online (FWIW) that when borescoped the 455 barrels have ranged from excellent to crappy.
I don't know anything about that, but I can say that using a slip fit barrel is really shouldn't be a downgrade accuracy-wise over threaded, and I'm a purist who wants a 452.
Why - modern manufacturing is especially good at making precision "rounds", both internally and externally.
And it's definitely less expensive than threading.
I wouldn't want to remove a barrel so the ability to swap is lost on me. I just don't see a problem with the new barrel mounting.

The front of my brain likes the changes, especially the 60° bolt.
The back of my brain doesn't want to see the old style go.
