Got the Leupold Backcountry rings today and used them to mount up a 50mm scope on my Tikka Lite.

They are the perfect height for this scope, weigh a little over two ounces and are finished very nicely for what they are. I am not crazy about the Leupold logo, but I otherwise prefer them to the Talley Lightweight rings from an aesthetic standpoint. Time will tell if they crack less than the Talley's, but they are much thicker through the area where the ring screws are located.

I would like to try a set on a couple of my Model 70's, but they are not available yet.

If the heights on Midway are correct, what Leupold is calling a Medium, is about the same as a Talley Low.
