Two doe antelope.

Passed on a cow elk at 476 yards in an attempt to get to Daughter #1's comfort range of 400. By the time we closed the gap the elk were in the trees. Probably could have waited until dark but she was 7-1/2 months pregnant and did not want to walk off the mountain in the dark, the same mountain where my hunting buddy badly sprained his ankle doing so a few years ago. (His foot swelled up like a black football.) We decided to try a different area instead but the truck broke down, pretty much ending the elk hunt.

I was able to help Daughter #1 and her hubby both get their first mulie bucks and in Wyoming we filled six of 7 doe antelope tags. Daughter #1 had to get a another freezer.

I did get a Ruger Security 9. Like I needed another CCW firearm.

No, I'm not a Ruger bigot - just an unabashed fan of their revolvers, M77's and #1's.

A good .30-06 is a 99% solution.
