It doesn't take much to surpass halibut in the flavor department. It's way down the list on white meat fish as far as I'm concerned.
It's one and only saving grace is that it freezes well.
It doesn't freeze any better than pike, and doesn't taste a good.
As well, if it gets cooked even a little bit too much, it's like eating cardboard.
