While the Ballistic Tip may not be the sleekest long range bullet out there I have used the 150 grain .284 version on all sorts of game and some pretty long shots too. That bullet has always shot well, penetrated plenty and killed stuff quickly. I have to say the 150 gr. .284 and the 180 gr. .308 Ballistic Tips are fine bullets for the vast majority of hunting situations. I could say the same thing for Partitions, Speer Hotcor's, and Hornady Innerlocs. Pick the bullet suitable for the game hunted, use it within it's capabilities and things will go well.
