We are getting a new parish priest from Uganda. I haven't met him yet, but when I do I will welcome the man from a land of material poverty to the land of spiritual poverty. And wish him good luck because I think his job is going to be a lot harder here.
His life certainly won't be harder here. This is not a land of spiritual poverty. Many are rich in the spirit, but there is a pall upon us as Satan is being allowed to rise up these last days and steal who he can.
