Was out at Ocracoke a few weeks ago on the Atlantic coast. I had fried oysters every evening for dinner. There's several restaurants out there that served them and I tried them all.
I also found a restaurant on Cedar Key, Florida that made excellent fried oysters,....served up a big basket of them for just a few bucks.
I was there (Ocracoke, not Cedar Key) in July, from the 21st to the 26th. Didn't get the oysters, but the crab cakes were very good, as well as the fish and shrimp (all grilled). Next time you're there, if you want a change from the seafood, try Eduardo's, a Mexican food truck right along the main drag.
