Killed one bull with my .284 Win using the 140gr TTSX at 2920 FPS. Range 247 yards with bull not quite facing me but close. Bullet entered where the chest met the right shoulder and destroyed the inside portion of the joint, took out the lung behind it, traveling completely through the animal and exiting through the thick ham muscle on the other side. A little over 4’ of penetration through a mature bull.

He tried to run, but couldn’t, staggering for a brief second before falling over and expiring.

I’d have no qualms about using that combo again.

I’ve also used the 120gr TTSX from the 7-08 and works beautifully on elk.
