I played with a lot of Ackleys, ( from 17/Hornet Imp to .375) and the only one that "disappointed me" in velocity was the 30-06. Oh yeah, when I had one made up in a 26" rifle, I could do fine with 150s, but I wanted the 200! I just could not get over about 2680fps with that thing! That had to be that barrel, but I had the rifle converted ( Mod 700) to 300 RUM, "then" I got my 3100fps 200 PT! ha But this is a factory Vanguard I'll be playing with, an S2. I don't know anything about them, really.
