Democratic Socialism worked the best in countries when it is balanced with Capitalism. Private ownership and/or government ownership. We have a lot of that in this country. I very much prefer to hunt on Federal land in Wyoming than pay some Texan to hunt on his land. His hunting may well be better, but I enjoy my freedom...what there is left of it.

And we of course, have our Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid. We are always looking for and voting on better ways to do things without big government, but so far we have what we have.

Scandinavia countries may not like to pay their higher taxes, but they ain’t about to vote out their way of life. They always have that choice in democratic socialism. That ain’t failure.

Rand Paul has not moved the ball very far down field by rehashing the well known failures that evolve some dictator trying to use Socialism as a shortcut to total control. That is Communism.
