the idea of socialism sounds really good.
but it's never been proven to work for very long, always on the road to failure.
the problem, i suspect, is the quality of the citizenry. we need higher quailty citizens for socialism to work.
that is, humans being humans just are Not designed, wired, and built to be good socialists. so failure is always in the wings.
and libertarians are far more free market than a lot of other folks out there. just sayin'
thats for damn sure. can you imagine what socialism would do to this country when almost 50% of the people already don't work. what people don't realize when they cite norway and sweden as wonderful examples of socialism is that those countries ain't full of a bunch of lazy POS's who have been on the dole for generations.
