I have always said pre-64 M70 Fwt’s. Although the truth is with the walnut stock they are too butt heavy and need a light weight stock like a Pound’r to balance the way I like it.

But these days I have to go with a Kimber Montana, especially the 223. The larger the bore size gets, the less I like them because they are less muzzle heavy.


Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!
